VK Val
Our club represented Croatia in coastal rowing events at two Mediterranean Beach Games in Pescara, Italy in 2015 and Patras, Greece in 2019 plus on all official FISA World Rowing Coastal Championships from 2014 to 2019. VK Val crews participated at the following FISA Coastal Championships, making several A-finals and Top 10 finishes in C2x in men’s category:
The club has more than 40 members in junior, senior and masters/recreational categories, which train in Bay of Kaštela and Bay of Stobreč, near the City of Split. Since classic (Olympic) rowing is still considered as a priority sport in Croatia, local and county financing still goes primarily in that direction, while coastal rowing remains financed mostly from private funds and donations.
