4th meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project

Rowing club UKS Szostka from Gdansk hosted last weekend's 4th transnational meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project "Coastal Rowing - Bringing ALL Generations Together". The meetings during the weekend were held in UKS Szostka headquarters at river Wisla close to Gdansk and at the Sports Center Galion, about 10 km from the city and very close to the long sandy beach that was used as a site for the first-ever Polish beach sprint regatta in coastal single sculls and mixed double sculls (future Olympic event at the LA 2028). Members of our 4 clubs (C.C Saturnia - Trieste, Limassol Nautical Club, VK Val - Split and our host club UKS Szostka - Gdansk) all participated in this event.
3rd meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project

Limassol Nautical Club, the largest and the best nautical club in Cyprus was our generous host during last weekend's 3rd transnational meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project "Coastal Rowing - Bringing ALL Generations Together". The meeting was held in LNC headquarters close to the Limassol center and was followed by time-trial coastal beach sprint regatta in coastal single sculls. Members of our 4 clubs (C.C Saturnia - Trieste, UKS Szostka - Gdansk, VK Val - Split and of course hosts LNC all participated in this promotional event. ERASMUS+ SPORTS project "Coastal Rowing - Bringing ALL Generations Together" continued with a 2nd transnational meeting in headquarters of C.C Saturnia in Trieste and included a lectures by renowned Italian coach Stefano Gioa and club's sports director and Olympian Martina Orzan + a scenic rowing session in CM4x rowed by members of our 4 clubs (C.C Saturnia, Limassol Nautical Club, UKS Szostka - Gdansk and VK Val - Split
1st meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project

This November was a coastal rowing month - from FISA/World Rowing - Level 1 Coach Development Course (including capsize drills and race simulation) led by certified FISA educators Guin Batten and Zane Putnina and 1st meeting of ERASMUS+ SPORTS project members on Island of Krk, Croatia to 2nd meeting of our clubs in C.C Saturnia - Trieste, Italy
Project meetings update
18 Jun, 2021Several ZOOM meetings were held between the partners, also new dates for meetings were agreed upon, as well as the date of the FISA Level 1 CRM course.
