In the city of Trieste, C.C Saturnia collaborates with many local schools by promoting rowing and bringing numerous children to our club, many of whom fall in love with this sport. We’re also actively participating in local, country and international student regattas. The sport activity is structured in beginners’ courses for kids under age of 12, in the pre-competitive group of kids up to 14 years old and in competitive junior A and B teams (under 16 and under 18 year-olds). Rowing courses for seniors and masters/adults are also carried out and the masters’ activity is highly developed, having also approached many parents of athletes and actively involved them in rowing. There are about 140 active club members in all categories.

Since June 2015, C.C. Saturnia organizes the UNITED EUROPE REGATTA, founded as a commemoration event to mark 100 years since the beginning of World War I and as a sign of friendship between nations/people who fought each other on the Western front. Now, this regatta is traditional and promotes the union of many European nations. In this regatta, the coastal boats racing is represented as a special category of rowing.

More recently, in classic (Olympic type of rowing), our crew in lightweight men coxless four (LM4-) won a gold medal at the Senior World Championship in Sarasota, USA in 2017.

In coastal rowing C.C.Saturnia is one of the most experienced clubs in Italy, with numerous medals at FISA World Rowing Coastal Championships, listed below.
